JS: Were you able to film in.. uhm..

RW: Bosnia? No. We filmed in Romania. So, Romania, Bucharest doubled for late 90s Bosnia.

JS: OK. Now, I’ve been to Bucharest in the early 90s or late 80s. I spent an hour layover.

RW: In the airport, yeah.

JS: Beautiful lavatories. The detail on the tile.. Say what you will about Stalin: the man knew that when it’s time to go..

RW: It’s gotta look good around you.

JS: Thank you.

RW: I’m with you.

JS: You want some peace. How long were you in the Bucharest for? You spent time there previously?

RW: No, I’ve never been before. We were there for four weeks. It was a low budget movie so we shot a lot of footage per day.

JS: Now when you shoot a movie such as this and it is very politically charged and all that, is there interference, do the people who were involved in this type of case – are they aware of what you’re doing, are they trying to stop what you’re doing, or is everybody out there trying to catch a sketch can?

RW: I will not , no one knew us in Romania, we changed the names of the individuals involved [..] If we had used the real names the insurance would’ve been more expensive and the budget of the film [..]

JS: So you’re basically in Bucharest, driving UN trucks, going “we’re filming the sequel to Norbit”

Dac-as fi ZBiM, m-as trezi plangand ca Jon Stewart “fura” de la mine ideea cu buda, fiindca in “despre mine” scriam in Ianuarie 2008:

Am intrat in el si-am fost un pic in afara tarii.

Asa-i in tenis: astepti prea mult cu povestea intreaga, ti-o fura altul.
