..except in Romania. Part of the reason why is that I’m not in Romania. But it’s also because so many have left the country and the population is in a precipitous decline. 
A while back, I saw a security professional explaining dDOS on CTV. He had a Romanian-sounding name and I was going to write about him. I probably have already on my tumblr blog, but now I cannot find it. I routinely find articles in the major press on cybersecurity signed by Romanian-sounding names. In fact, the male journalists have probably moved on to higher-paying endeavors and it is mostly Romanian women who dominate the tech press.
So I was thrilled to discover a Romanian in diaspora who has more to do with business and law than with tech (although he’s seemingly not eschewing tech altogether). I watched him on TVO’s The Agenda, starting off strongly by contradicting Smitherman that there is and will be a shortage of cannabis products.
