The results of the latest PISA testing have come out. Will I manage to write about the educational styles in Canada (which is 4th, tied with Finland, after Singapore, Japan and Estonia) and Romania (48th out of 70)?

One question I keep getting on this blog despite having answered it more than once is why did I start it. Since I keep getting it, there's a good chance that the answers given so far have been unsatisfying (or invisible to the reader). So here's another attempt at an explanation especially now that even the Ontario Legislature has observed Romania’s National Day and BI thought of coming up with this challenge (i.e., why are you proud of being part of the blogo.ro-oaie).

Seeing that this Sunday is the Remembrance Day and finding myself in the vicinity of my first residence in Canada, I took a quick spazier through those places.

It's hard to determine when you are the source of events or when you are simply part of the current. If you're a blogger in a minor blogosphere, you might start accusing others of "stealing" from you. Me, I'm just glad that I'm being validated.

Si m-am gandit c-ar fi cazul sa enunt cateva reguli, cum am facut pentru concursurile generale pentru acest blog si sa dau premii, cum am mai dat.

Am avut recent o scurta discutie cu Elhunes pe twitter. Este despre gramatica, o arta greu de stapanit pentru romanul emigrant, in special pentru cel care se adapteaza tarii adoptive.

Citeam recent pe blogul Michael Nork ca ii este dificil sa invete elevii romani limba engleza. Mi-am amintit de propriul meu drum in invatarea limbii engleze si m-am gandit sa-l ajut cu cateva pie charts si Venn / Euler diagrams facute, probabil, de un alt american .

Ieri a avut loc concertul Thievery Corporation in Bucuresti. Maine e concertul NightLosers in Toronto. Eu ma gandesc la fomei si despartiri.
