Intre candidatele competitiei Miss Univers Canada ‘09 se afla si doua romance. Madalina, bruneta, e din Bucuresti via Toronto iar Livia, satena, e din Craiova via Montreal (St Lambert).

Raspunsul scurt este ca n-are cum sa nu suga atat timp cat cititorii si-o baga. Mai precis, nu poti sa fii glorios, cat timp audienta ta este inexistenta, cel putin la nivel cerebral. Sa privim un exemplu din hotnews.

Ei bine, italienii au decis sa aduca in instanta 6 seismologi care au spus cu putin timp inainte de cutremur ca nu exista suficiente dovezi pentru a concluziona ca un cutremur este iminent si aflu despre asta din articolul unei vancou(ve)verite care mai si repeta ce ziceam cu V.

Sunt oarecum luat prin surprindere si indiferent de cate glume am facut pe seama omului, parca-mi pare nitel rau. Stirea-i mult prea proaspata si-i de fapt prima stire babana pe care o aflu pe twitter.

I have been staying away from the news of the moment, but this recent tragedy hits extremely close to home, whichever way a member of the Toronto Romanian diaspora (including myself) chooses to define that notion.

A recent documentary about Romanians and their come on Channel4 was left seemingly ignored on this blog (though announced more than a week ago: 1, 2), so I hereby correct this oversight. The “EAT ME” photo refers to a similar but Canadian story.
