I happened to be in the area so I decided to pay the consulate a visit, not expecting to be able to vote, but hoping to learn more info about my programmed visit for my passport renewal. I didn't waste a lot of time, but in typical Romanian fashion, someone managed to use my time with info that is likely useless.

I probably won’t be voting this year. I’m telling you about my failed attempt to register for “vote by correspondence” or “votul prin corespondenta” as well as my passport application.

I have, in the past, dedicated ample space and time to the Romanian elections. Lately, I’m starting to get a feeling of futility. It’s a widespread disease.

Though it may be unfair to extend the failure of the Romanian National Press Agency (Agerpres) and the Romanian External Affairs Ministry to an entire nation, let us not forget that part of their job is to represent the country. The recent faux-pas, confusing the French contours with the German one in a one-print commemorative brochure is, unfortunately, indicative of the dilettantism that has taken over the Romanian government.

Mi-ar fi extrem de greu sa ma impac cu sirul evenimentelor care s-au produs in ultimele cateva saptamani si mai ales zile. Un mod de a impaca realitatea cu dorul de normalitate este refugiul in arta - Commedia dell'Arte, mai precis.

Chiar daca ministrul de externe s-a aratat matur si a reactionat potrivit functiei sale, iata ca totusi exista suficienti porcusori isterici in plutocratia romaneasca (vezi la sfarsit). Prilej pentru a ne aminti de o brosura publicata de americani pentru a evita “frecarea” cu parizienii eliberati.

O emisiune de divertisment irita o gramada de prosti si in mod surprinzator, ministerul de externe reactioneaza corespunzator, adica deloc.

Cum n-am mai folosit encriptie de mult timp, m-am gandit sa cifrez cateva bucati din articolul care urmeaza, sa vedem ce si cum iese. Cheia folosita mai gios este sa-ncriptam cu Magicianu si functioneaza numai pe sit, nu si in flux.

Este greu de evitat scandalul Severin, cu atat mai mult cu cat nu demult vorbeam despre Nastase si in episodul anterior despre Malaxa. Nu cred ca Severin este mai corupt decat alti politicieni europeni; este insa mai prostut si mai naiv si, ca si diplomatul din Singapore si in general oamenii proveniti din societati in deriva, cam fara busola etica.

Nush ce-mi veni c-am nascocit un nou concurs. De fapt, stiu: cartim si-a primit premiul si taman mi-am vandut un lawnmower mai vechi, intr-o intreaga peripetie.

Nu-i vorba despre amnestie (eliberarea inainte de soroc din bulau cu ocazia victoriei socialismului si alte povestiri), ci despre un raport Amnesty International care gaseste - cine ar fi crezut! - ca romii sunt in continuare discriminati in Ro.

Nu cu mult timp in urma prezentam ceea ce mi se parea o creatie originala romaneasca si un serial promitator. La scurt timp, si alti "mari bloggeri" s-au trezit sa-l promoveze, serialul a prins aripi si a-nceput sa fie chiar popular. Dar cu popularitate apar si probleme.

Legea invatamantului, despre care am mai povestit in curriculum vs legea educatiei, PISA 2009 si salariul universitarilor a fost nu demult declarata constitutionala. Daca vorbeam despre motivarea profilor, ar fi util sa vorbim si despre motivarea elevilor. Fie ca te afli in tara si gandesti ca puradeii de azi, in loc sa-ti plateasca tie pensia cand vei fi mic, alb si tremurand iti vor da in cap fiindca asta este tot ce stiu sa faca sau te afli in afara tarii si ai probleme cu echivalarea diplomei din tara din pricina gloatei de analfabeti care ies in ultima vreme din facultatile de-acolo si "emigreaza" in containere, legea invatamantului pentru care guvernul planuie in curand consultatii ar trebui sa te intereseze.

Periplul legii educatiei este o poveste care pare sa demonstreze cat de alambicat si contrar interesului national a devenit procesul politic. Imi este imposibil sa urmaresc firul asa ca ma voi axa pe situatia actuala.

Vorbeam recent cu Quebecoisfier despre o dezbatere pe care intentionam s-o purtam cat de curand. Desigur, nu-i prima data cand as incepe asa ceva - am mai avut in trecut pe tema parlamentului unicameral si despre Base. Si m-am gandit c-ar fi cazul sa enunt cateva reguli, cum am facut pentru concursurile generale pentru acest blog si sa dau premii, cum am mai dat.
