For the longest time I've been meaning to write an article about how youth is not a virtue in itself, but a time when you're actually pretty dumb, and though in your older age you might look back with regret, that does not (or should not) make youngsters gods.

Never have I hesitated to make my views on Romanian immigration known. Documentele proaspat re-dezgropate si re-publicate cu privire la trecutul lui ceausescu nu mi se par teribil de importante. Dar merita (oarecum) mentionate, cu atat mai mult cu cat azi se implinesc 92 de ani de la nasterea lui in Scornicesti.

I’ve just read a piece of news that angered me a great deal as it smelled fake, but as I looked into it, I did not find the clear rebuttal I expected. It’s based on an obscure survey question that had not been reported in the media and now is fodder for fake news sites. The title is based on an 80s Italian song which roughly means “rogue nostalgia”, combined with the Romanian spelling of the word that stands for “rogue”, which, in the latter language stands for an insult, meaning “scoundrel, villain, miscreant”.
