While writing about Jihadi Jay Abdo, I had started writing about foreigners who study in Romania and half-way through I realized that this deserves a separate article. I had previously assumed (nature) that the Romanian prime-minister’s (Ponta) many scandals, some centered around his plagiarizing of his doctoral thesis will taint Romanian education and significantly decrease its appeal. Further investigation revealed that many are still interested, although it is hard to determine to what extent the scandals have caused the Romanian tuition fees to be the lowest in Europe, or that is due to other market forces. In calitate de erou al mai multor lepse mogulitoare, m-am gandit ca daca nu pot raspunde tuturor, pot macar sa le aplaud si eventual sa inventez propria mea leapsa.

Intai a venit cineva din blogroll care-mi tot ingropa articolele pe agregatoarele de stiri cu leapsa cu 7 cantece. P-orma Gogu de la Blogu' lu' Gogu arunca si el leapsa asta in directia mea (1). Si cand 2 iti zic sa canti, apuca-te bade, si scrie!

Am avut un week-end destul de plin, si ca de obicei, mi-au iesit numai 30% din chestiile pe care mi le-am dorit.

Cladirile sunt adiacente, dar nu identice (vezi la sfarsit).. In orice caz, restul vederilor sunt superbe si, probabil, cu explicatii la obekt

I'm not sure how and why I ended up watching two movies in one evening, but I did. Maybe it was a need to procrastinate, maybe it was the "monster storm" that shut down New York and was raging outside.

Mai multe articole din bloguri pe care le savurez mi-au reamintit recent de o tara a romanului etern, acel roman inca in viata cand am parasit eu tara. Romanul timid, romanul bine-crescut, romanul cu bun simt, romanul dinainte de (neo)balcanizare, bastanizare sau becalizare.

I’ve hinted before on my personal struggle with answering such philosophical questions as “where are you from?” or “where were you born.” As I started answering with “Dacia,” more and more of those asking me, unsatisfied with this answer, started to look it up. One such acquaintance, a Brazilian dude, was kind enough to let me record our conversation. So I made a movie to share it more easily (like the Jens interview).
