I found via bucurenci.ro Cosmin Alexandru's article. I jotted down a few quick thoughts.

Lumea arde si eu mi-am pus sablon nou. Au aparut o gramada de probleme dar, din pacate, nu am timp sa le rezolv. Asa ca merg inainte, urmand sa corectez problemele in cateva zile, cand voi avea mai mult timp. Pan-atunci, sa ne-atintim privirea-n lume.

Perceptia mea despre acest cult este formata in cea mai mare parte de realitatea canadiana. Cum cea romaneasca este probabil diferita, o trecem in revi-blog.

In ultima salva din dezbaterea "nature vs nurture", un studiu de la Harvard (1) publicat in Science baga ultimele cuie in sicriul determinismului genetic (credinta ca IQ-ul este determinat de gene si nimic altceva). Studiul demonstreaza clar ca un copil pierde puncte IQ pentru fiecare luna petrecuta in orfelinat.

Scenele de abundenta extravaganta de la festivalul rromilor din Costesti, unde fiecare familie pare sa aiba un Mertzan sau BemVe, sunt in contrast cu viata pe care o traiesc majoritatea. Rromii, veniti cu secole in urma din nordul Indiei, sunt 8 milioane in Europa, din care cei mai multi ar fi in Romania (2 milioane).

A recent “viral” video clip shows the Romanian president, Klaus Iohannis, moving the Union Jack (the UK flag), out of the way as he talks to reporters. This act of “elimination” is probably the least interesting of the ones discussed herein.

I keep reading about Romanian Police incompetence and I can tell you that I’ve seen far worse here in Toronto. I learned about former cop and current “forensic psychologist” Butoi telling us why a living girl’s carbonized remains ended up in a barrel (cf Romanian “butoi”). And beyond all these facts, inadequacies and incompetence, the question we want to answer even though we know we can’t is why?

Ideea ctp-ului, cum ca Isarescu ar trebui sa inlocuiasca guvernul Boc, desi impartasita de multi altii, nu mi se pare buna. Nu cred ca Isarescu este singurul om capabil din Romania de a conduce efectiv tara. Mai degraba, motivul pentru care el se bucura de simpatia atator oameni este ca munca lui e secreta, desfasurandu-se in afara tabloidelor.
