Our favorite former SF author, CTP, is back with another seemingly antiziganist or racist controversy, again on former PM and current PSD candidate for president, Dancila. He made fun of her family name etymology (likely Romani or Gypsy) and an anti-discrimination group / person entered the fray.

I haven’t quite followed the morbidly insane “family coalition” initiative (w-coalitia), in all its pathology, but I recently discovered how some UniBuc prof has been using everything, including the Hamangia / Cernavoda sculptures for his fascist crusade against gays. And likely, from the same deep vein of christo-fascism, the nebulous coalition has managed (or is about) to pass a law to stick more Christianity into people’s faces under the guise of celebrating Brancoveanu Constantin, boier vechi si domn crestin (old boyar and Christian voivode).

I’m becoming a Nastase hater. Can’t this guy just disappear from news altogether, or realize that we’re no longer in the 50s and the 70s are over?!

I don’t like to adopt a nationalist stance on any day of the year and least of all when you are supposed to do so, such as on December 1, Romania’s national day. Rather than pen yet another pointless, devoid of meaning nationalist article, I’d much rather look at a few forgotten issues.

Quite a few people are (or were back in September, but it takes a while for local news to cross the Atlantic) appalled that Alexandru Arsinel, an aging and beloved Romanian actor, has supposedly bribed doctors (or used his fame) to jump the queue for a new kidney. But isn’t the outrage itself somewhat outrageous?

Ultima parte din "instalatia de PiaR", dupa logo, fronda frunzei si moneda, in acest canicular mijloc de vara se refera la indarjirea demagogica de care Sarko s-a gandit c-ar fi electoral indicat sa dea dovada, si modul oarecum nesabuit dar totodata adorabil in care Base pune paie pe focul xenofob.

In primul rand, inteleg ca astfel de discutii pot fi ofensatoare pentru gheii sanatosi emotional - i.e., cine pln-i geony si de ce ne-ar pasa ce crede el? Si tu (adica eu) cin-te crezi? Tatal Tereza al gheilor(zilor)?!? Raspunsul e complex. Pe scurt – imi pare rau, dar e blogul meu si mie-mi plac dezbaterile.

N-am avut ce face si-am intrat pe site-ul lui arhi intr-o “discutie” la care am raspuns deja in articolul precedent. Cum era probabil de asteptat, discutia a ajuns iar la argumente pro si contra homosexualitatii. Acest articol este in linii mari un experiment - merita sa faci "gugal risarci" pentru altii? Vor reusi sa parcurga informatia?

Citeam la @arhi nu demult o discutie pe tema pedofiliei. Si cum mi se-ntampla tot mai des in ultima vreme, desi discutia era pe cat de rationala poate fi o astfel de discutie ce contine implicit multe emotii, am fost infuriat de cateva prostii ridicate la rangul de "statistici".

In articolul despre pasarei am adus in discutie unul dintre argumentele “primare” homofobice: Biblia si mai precis Leviticus 18:22. Acest argument a fost discutat si ras-discutat in trecut, asa ca m-am grabit sa traduc o scrisoare veche catre o comentatoare conservatoare care s-a pronuntat public impotriva homosexualitatii.

For all the people coming from the United States, this article is about Dr Laura's controversial views on homosexuality (which she may have changed in the meantime). She claims in her latest book, Surviving A Shark Attack (on Land), that the photos (previously published by Hustler) were photoshopped. I do not hate her, but I think she is often wrong or misguided and I tend to believe that the photos are legit.

Desi am lasat-o sa se intrevada in alte articole cat si in comentarii pe alte bloguri, n-am discutat niciodata opinia mea despre homosexualitate si-n principal despre dreptul homosexualilor de a se casatori si de a adopta copii.

Am aflat recent despre un test care ar deduce daca esti barbat sau femeie pe baza preferintelor tale. Asta-i genul de test care-i oripileaza pe unii (sau unele). Eu sunt insa curios sa identific diferentele. Totusi, nu vei gasi aici un test similar celui cu dreapta vs stanga.
